Rose Wen
Rose Wen is a rising junior at Thomas Wootton High School in Rockville, Maryland. She found her passion for music at the age of four when she started studying piano, and hopes to inspire students of all ages to find their own passion for music. Throughout her musical journey, Rose has won numerous piano awards, including first prizes at competitions such as the Miriam S. Gottlieb Memorial Competition, Viola Hartman Awards, Gertrude Brown Memorial Concerto Competition, WMTA judged recital, and has also performed as a soloist with the Washington Conservatory Orchestra and the New England Youth Ensemble. In addition to musical performance, she has also received the MSMTA Intermediate, Senior, and Distinguished Theory Awards. Rose enjoys teaching other kids piano, and hopes to pass her love and understanding of music to her students, and assist them in reaching their maximum potential in music.
