Past Event: Composition Class
A four week online group class for all ages to learn basic composition.
DATES: October 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th

In this online class, students will be learning basic composition techniques. This will include transcriptions, creation of melodies, and more. Students will be using an easy to use online composition program. This program allows for playback of music and easy notation. Throughout the classes, students are free to ask questions.
This class will be taught by Artemy Muhkin, a well-experienced 15 year old composer. In the past three years alone, Artemy has worked with a number of well-known musicians who performed his music. Among them were the renowned pianist Benjamin Grosvenor, soprano Lucy Shelton, International Contemporary Ensemble, PUBLIQuartet, Brooklyn Brass Quintet, and others. In the Spring of 2019 Artemy’s Blue Hour composition was performed in Lincoln Center’s Geffen Hall and at the David Rubenstein Atrium by New York Philharmonic musicians.
